I think that is KKK16, but you can use Garret (for hiways) or anyother car that use this engine (Ford Scorpio 2.5TD with engine SFA or SFB , peugeot 505TD, 604TD etc ..). I made a t conection on the tube that join the turbo to the diesel pump.

Carripana on the way ...

I removed the turbo the other day, filled with plenty of lube and its all ok now, spins nice and free and no play in the shaft:D, i need a new compressor O ring which i am looking for but then its back on with it.
BUT i did snap of the banjo nut on the middle inlet manifold, so i hope i can get an extractor in to remove the rest.

Olly,

the turbo charger unit you have on the pic aint the same thing.

Here are the exact references for the UMM Alter turbo unit:
K16
92 382 0776
53169706702

have a look at this topic for details and more pics

There is a particular wastegate on UMM Alter Turbo, among other details.
Its not easy to find this turbocharger unit as a "straight fit" as ppl say.

sorry for not being able to answer your other questions you made so far.

P.S. HOLA = Hello / Hi in Spanish...in Portuguese "drop" the "H" :p

Speak soon
Carlos

Hi Carlos, thats a nice clean one you have/had there, i have got my original turbo running nice now and refitted to try, i am just finding it hard to find the banjo bolt i broke off, i removed the stud that was stuck in the head, but as it is a 8x1.25 banjo bolt hard to find a replacement, i have one on its way but it is a little shorter, i can only see if it fits.
I have tryed all peugeot 505/506 ,Granada scorpio, ldv 400 etc etc:disappointed_relieved:

I dont know if you have seen the LWB green UMM that was on ebay, my mate won it, we have a 500 mile round trip next week to collect it:D

My turbo is a dead:angry:

So to rebuild it will cost near £400.

I cant find one in the UK second hand

How much do they sell for in Portugal?

Could anyone send me one over please:D

I am thinking n about fitting another engine if its going to cost so much to replace, only for more power as i will be pulling a small boat also have the camper on the back.

regards

Olly

This is my turbo

I have found a Audi 100 is very much the same, this is the one i found

but the manifold is different as in the Audi is 4 bolt fitting and the UMM is 3 bolt. And the Audi turbo has the fuel pipe to the actuator, but i think i can block this off.

I have the idea i can make an adaptor to fit in the middle of the Audi turbo and the UMM manifold by using captive bolts in the adaptor.
