Dear all,
I have a problem with the injection pump: When I got the white UMM in 2018 it had not the full power (maybe 82 or 85 hp). I used it anyway for two years but I couldn't pull my trailer for work. Now a mechanic found the reason for the insufficient power: the tube between suction tube and injection pump was damaged. The loading pressure was below 0,5 bar. When he renewed the small tube, there was suddenly a leakage at the injection pump. It is the box/tin at the side of the pump with the yellow cap/knob wich is leaking. Under the yellow cap there is an inbus-screw. So the mechanic asked me, if he could open the screw and take off the box without disturbing the adjustement of the injection pump? What Do you think? perhaps there is just an o-ring, which has to be replaced. If there is more harm, I can get a used box/tin from Passarinho, which we can mount.
best wishes from the Black Forest!
Mooro

That's a lucas pump?
Well, I think that it is a Roto - pump (D.P.C). It is a pump with a two-point fixation. But the car is in a garage in the North Black Forest for the technical check at the moment , so I can't check details.....

Hello everybody,
today I asked a specialist for injection pumps in Berlin about the Roto-Pump. He said that there is a membrane in the tin with the yellow cap and he said that this membrane is damaged in many old Roto-pumps and that this is probably the reason why the tin is leaking fuel. Unfortunately he has no new membranes available. Can anyone of You in Portugal confirm that the membrane is often a problem? I could get a used tin/box from Passarinho......hopefully that there is a good membrane inside.....

All you need is a repair kit, you can purchase at our UMM parts dealers or you can find it easly on eBay.

I would like to help/advise you, but the pictures arn't the best ones. I had resealed completely my pump (CAV- Condiesel R3443F795) and I would say that there is no membrane inside...
As @StreetGT said, just buy a sealing kit and do a complete overhaul to the pump. I can say that I paid 18,5£ for the kit and the quality of it was very good. I bought it here, https://injectionpumps.co.uk/produc...mechanically-governed-fuel-pumps-non-genuine/

Thank You for the advice! I bought a seal repair kit for the pump at "injectionpumps.co.uk" today!. They have an ebay-shop. And I will also get a used part from Passarinho. I don't have time at the moment to demount and seal the whole pump as I need the car urgently for work in the mountains. I can do that next winter.
