German UMM - Sebastian

I´m sending to Sebastian the UMM manuals for him to see the parts he need, and in return he sent to me the photos of his machine.
With autorization from Sebastian, here are the photos of the great German UMM.

Cool car mate.
Im shure u can find all the parts u need in Germany, most of UMM parts are from Peugeot 505 wagnear, the mecanical ones. Axles are from Dana 44 on the rear and 30 on the front, some times they change, it depends on year of manufactory but usually they are the ones i said.
Any douth just give us a chat and we try to sort it 4 u.
One last thing if u have the owners driving manual and the mechanical book, try on Ebay 4 the parts in need.

Sebastian UMM is from the year 1988 ?
Its a turbo intercooler or a normally-aspirated engine ?

Thanks Nuno for doing the thing with the fotos.

Its an Alter from the jear 1986, 2498ccm Diesel, no Turbo.

The Colour is dark blue. Is this an original colour?:thinking:

An have there ever been textils in this car to minimise the noise?
In my one there is metal everywhere.

Congratulations for de excellent UMM that you have.

Another way to get the parts needed is asking here, the people always help and if you're lucky, we can offer some parts that we have and don't need anymore, and the worst is the shipment, i'm shure

Yes, dark blue as original color exists, but i think that is not so dark, but can be the foto that may be make like darker...

Yes originaly the UMM cames with textils but some of us were unlucky and when bought the car he already came without it, like me, my UMM is also metal everywhere and worst, have more metal(aluminium) covering the normal so, i can't even hear my thoughts and when turbo becomes too noisy i even think that i'm in a jet or something like that lol

But textils are easy to find, and if you don't find you can make it, it's simply.

yes with the textil thats easy. The dealer from the uk offers me the following parts.
Not cheap, but I hope it he can deliver them fast.


1. 2- front shaft UJ's (crosses) at £42.90 each.
6. 1- brake hose (rear) £23.20.
8. 1- l.h. handbrake cable £27.60.
1- r h handbrake cable £29.44.
7. 4- spring bushes £ 7.20 each (only 4 in stock)
9. 2- front indicator lense £ 7.19 each.
2- side reapeater lense £ 5.00 each (used).
10. 2- reverse lense £ 7.19 each.
11. drivers/owners handbook(used) at £10.00
4 & 5. The 4 knuckles / hinges / links, that put the steering together. (Price?)

and a few other parts (steering box). makes a total of 500€.

But then i hope to get permission to drive on street again.
Its a machine, aou are right. Not a car.
But if the important thing are done, i will try to cultivate it a bit.

Now i will try to fit the broken rear bumpers. (Someone did bad work on it)

The owner manuals, i have it in PDF format... i can sent to you, and you print them.
The Hand break cables here cousts around 17€ each

Sebastian,the u joint`s for front and rear transmission shaft the reference is U100 and for the front transmissions (inside the axle) is U102,the price here in Portugal is about 15/20eur each,try on autoparts house sales or a house that sales spares for tractors!

My Alter is one of 3 UMM known in Germany:
UMM Alter, short wheel base, hardtop, 2.5D, 4Speed, build in 1986.
Colour: Dark Blue
