Fit a LR engine and gear box

Has anyone ever fitted a Land Rover Discovery engine and Gear box, not the Transfer box though.
It is so hard for parts over in the UK, and i can also run WVO/SVO then its a good idea for me.

I now i mite be best to use the Discovery T box aswell though.

Any help would be nice.

Hi there Olly,

As I know, this modification wasn't yet done on the UMM's. On a quick search over the forum, I get two posts about engine changes and they talk about LR engines but none about an already done change. Just ideas and opinions, mainly against the change.

Thank you Benjamim for the links.

Some good reading there. Today i was looking at the BMW M51 2.5 TDS aswell, cheap over here and a lot more hp and torq,but still its the getting it fitted, i have done a few engine swaps in the past, alot of work so if i do i want it to be worth it.
