Engine performance

I had my first off road outing yesterday, firstly the UMM is excellent off road, a bit long but great fun, but on a long highway run, it would not go above 50mph on the flat road.
Is this all they do? :astonished:

It is a Alter 2 2.5TD

He should do better, UMM 2.5 TD runs at 87mph

Yes i thought so, i am going to add some cleaner to the fuel and change all filters again, give it a good run and see what happens then

Olly just clarifying few things in portuguese/english for some guys here.

CARRO em ingles nao lidamos como "masculino" como em portugues.
Embarcacoes / barcos / carros os ingleses dizem "SHE" = ela...para carros / barcos / embarcacoes.

Injection pump might need proper service + injectors
Wondered if the turbo has seen better days?!
Radiators in good shape?

Hows the big toaster smoking???
White smoke? black smoke?

Post a video on here and with sound...many members would be really happy to see the big girl on camera and might just give you some more advice.

Hi Carlos, how are things mate, you still getting around.

I have been thinking about the turbo and if it needs a clean up / repacement, i had my first off road session a few days ago and i have some pics, but lost the videos of a few good climes, hope i find them again.
It does gives white smoke for a minute or so from cold start up but then nothing from what i can see, engine sounds great, but hard to here on a video link as i cut back the exhaust to come from the behind the drivers side.

Radiator is good, but as you say i need to check the pump and injectors.

It does misfire though on start up while it white smokes though, but then great.

I better invest in a seal kit for the pump and new injectors, i hate doing injectors incase they snap.
