Hi everyone,

I have read through a few of the posts and I am still a bit confused (mainly because my Portuguese is not good enough).
I want to replace my shock absorbers front and back. The suspension is standard and I am not going to lift it. I will only be using my UMM on rough dirt roads but it will be full of people. Which shock absorbers fit and where is the best place to get them?

Thanks Jim

Hi, i dont know were you are, but i recently change mine with one from PromCom es9000 advise by some friends from this forumm. I by it in a english site, paddock spears parts. You my also by it in almost shop of 4x4 in portugal. What you must be carefull is that you must have eye/eye in both side of the sock absorvers. The side, my depende what you want. If you dont want to change it, just measur yours.

Carripana on the way ...

Hi,
It has 7 blades at the front, 9 at the back. It has 8 seats and I will have it with 6 people in the back a lot. I will also be towing a light trailer. It is a 1986 alter 2.5 non-turbo.
Thanks Jim

hI!
iN terms of blades i think it is ok but i'm not a specialist anyway.
For the front shock absorber you need to check something that is the turning if the shock absorbers are 2 fat the screw from the brake pads might open a little hole on the shock absorber (this happens with Alter II whan placed on the back part of the axle)
Like fante told you i did the same and now im gona weld the hole an eye cause this shock absorbers d'ont have eye on both edges.
When i'll try it i will tell you it they realy worth it cause everybody say's so...
Otherwise the original are also very good and they stand for ever.
Another perfect option is going to a special house where they do it on purpose for the specifications you ask and they are rechargable so it is more expensive the 1'st time but after some years it gets cheaper and it is custom made.
Cheers, Good bumps man!
